Designed for graduate students. Broad overview of how different agencies involved in disaster responses work together to handle impact of mass population emergencies. Identification of role of local, state, and federal governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, media, and healthcare facilities in disaster situations. Students meet with representatives of different agencies involved in disaster responses and visit one of area’s state-of-art emergency management operations facilities.
