(Formerly numbered M216B.) Hands-on approach to qualitative data analysis. Students learn how to conduct all steps of thematic analysis, including developing codes and coding schemes, analytic techniques to compare and categorize data, assessing validity and quality of data, as well as summarizing and presenting qualitative findings. Lectures, discussion of readings, and practical exercises by hand and with Dedoose computer software.
