(Formerly numbered 260.) Study of principles of non-Newtonian fluid mechanics and rheology of polymeric liquids and dispersed systems. Emphasis on origins of viscoelasticity, physics of dilute and entangled polymers, and collection and interpretation of rheological data. Concurrently scheduled with course C160.
