Barrio Organization and Service Learning
Chicana/o and Central American Studies · 5 units · Undergraduate upper division (100-199)
Limited to juniors/seniors. Service learning placement in community-based organization, labor union, or service-oriented nonprofit organization. Study of role that these organizations play in improvement and change of Chicana/Chicano communities. Students meet on regular basis with instructors and provide periodic reports of their experience.
