Evaluation of urban transportation design policies and practices for addressing sustainable transportation. Examination of historical and contemporary role engineers have played in planning and design of urban transportation systems. Exploration and critical analysis of emerging transportation technologies and policy strategies in improving mobility and reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Consideration of how to incorporate social justice principles to create more sustainable and equitable transportation system. May be repeated once for credit. Concurrently scheduled with course C283.
