BIOENGR C202
Physiology for Engineers
Bioengineering · 4 units · Graduate courses (200-299)
Study of human physiology. Focus on major organ systems. Topics include bulk tissue function, tissue organization, and molecular components responsible for organ function. Emphasis on quantitative relationships and engineering principles related to biological homeostasis. Where appropriate, study of changes to homeostasis and how those changes affect physiological outcomes. Modular lectures, with conceptually-motivated practice problems, are supplemented with quantitative homework assignments, which allow for more in-depth quantitative analyses.
