Ethnocommunications II: Intermediate Creating Community Media

Strong verbal communication skills and familiarity with technology required. Intermediate application of social documentary theory and methodology. Use of digital video to create new approaches to visual storytelling, reclaim history, and examine social issues related to diverse peoples, cultures, and communities. Continuing instruction in use of digital technology and concepts. Topics include videography, composition, sound recording, interviewing techniques, editing, and writing treatments. Completion of community-based documentary required. Concurrently scheduled with course C142B.
