Examination of architectural developments from 15th to 17th century. Primary focus on Italian peninsula, and extending to entire Mediterranean basin. Analysis of individual structures, cities, and landscape designs to reveal changing cultural and theoretical values, as well as specific aesthetic and iconographic content.
