Teaching Assistant Seminar

Designed for graduate students. First-time teaching assistants (TAs) are given a supportive group environment with the goal of addressing practical and pedagogical aspects of teaching. Students gain resources to become more effective and reflective as teachers. Discussion of challenges and triumphs to enhance current skill sets and develop new tools for future instructional positions. Topics include active learning, peer instruction, and other collaborative or group activities that promote transparency and equity in the classroom.
