Introduction to Geophysical Fluid Dynamics

Intermediate course on atmospheric and ocean dynamics. Topics include vorticity and potential vorticity, waves, quasi-geostrophic theory, barotropic and baroclinic instability, Ekman layer. Study combines theory and rotating tank experiments.
